HOPPER 3 UPGRADES

I wouldn't worry too much, it sounds like you don't need to wait for Dirt if don't want too.
I've not seen any special benifit, other then being in an orderly fashion and not having a Phone Rep tell you the H3 is not available.

It's ok, but I'd still prefer to go the DIRT route, because I think it is more personal.

I saw that you mentioned that we could call Dish directly. Since I'm down in the "200's" for DIRT contact, I decided to call and see what an upgrade would cost.

I expected to get a semi-clueless rep. However, the guy that I got was "on it," so I continued the discussion.

Within about 10 minutes, I was all set up for a new Hopper 3, 4K Joey and a service call in the morning (Sunday).

So how do I and others who are no longer in need, get off the DIRT list. I hate tie up DIRT time messaging me for something that I've already ordered.


I will probably need to save DIRT for tomorrow when the guy doesn't show up for the install ;)

BTW... Long time "everything" customer on auto-pay and service contract. Total Cost for hopper and 4K Joey including service call: $50 +tax.

Was the $50 because of the 4K Joey vs a regular Joey, or did this not make a difference?
 
Specialist number CSR said it wasn't available yet, but I told her people were ordering. She went away and now I'm set for an install later today. I didn't get a deal because I had just added a SJ last month. I'm ok with that.

I got the same response "not available till the end of February " after mentioning all the talk on Sat Guys about it, he checked and realized that today was the release date. No charge for the upgrade. Will be here Tuesday morning for the install!
