HOPPER 3 UPGRADES

Update for purchased hopper 3's. In addition to tracking numbers this morning, I just got my receipt in my email FWIW. Waiting for tracking to update with to show package in UPS possession. I'm hesitant to believe it's really being shipped today until then

I am waiting until the morning to see if there is any movement, could be a case where it is not scanned until it reaches the hub. I will send an email tomorrow if there has been no movement just to see what they say. I got a receipt via email as well.

Of course they are - it's called "trust". Many places ship dozens or hundreds of packages daily. Some places have a UPS semi-trailer in their dock and the "driver" never even looks at the packages, let alone hand-scan each one.

Good point, I noticed that with UPS Stores, they only sometime scans packages I dropped off. Good thing is I get a drop off receipt.

Well what's funny if this thing is released, I wonder if there would be any benifit in waiting for dirt to get to your number, rather then picking up the phone and making the call yourself.?

Obviously I can wait, But can the others in the 100s and up?

That's what I wonder too. Unless DIRT somehow is able to get priority in placing orders in the system...

I was thinking the same thing. If it comes to the email tomorrow, I'll just wait to hear back from you so we don't all bombard him at once

Could be but I mean this thread had 180 new posts in 24 hours.... The other thread had 262 new posts since it started which was less than 24 hours ago, didn't check when it was started. I wouldn't have expected this thread to grow at a rapid rate when it's not even the waiting list.

It has a 2TB drive. You can always use external drives.

Speaking about external drives, does the Hopper automatically record on the external drive when the internal is full?

No. The EHD is an archive only. You can play back recordings from it though

Which brings up the question in my mind: For those who have entered into the Reservation Queue, what if they either a) get a Hopper 3 scheduled for installation through another method; or b) change their mind about the Hopper 3 Upgrade through DIRT? Would it be best for the poster to Report their own post to the Admins for removal or PM Scott (or some other Admin who's on-line) to have their post taken down or otherwise edited to show there is no need for DIRT to respond to the post?

The option to delete your post goes away after some time as passed (I'm assuming it's the same time you have to edit your post, too.)

Overthinking this ?. First thing DIRT will do is ask for account information. You can tell them you're not interested then. They won't have more than 60 seconds invested at that point...

I have to work Saturday, so I was hoping for a Sunday install. I don't know if that'll be the case now.

Did you get an Email from "UPS Quantum View"? Dishdepot uses that system to notify you of shipment and status as to estimated delivery date and says what the item being shipped is.

So does anyone have an idea if it is coming the 28th? Or this month? I've tried looking through some threads, and I have just been busy at work. Dish hasn't sent us anything on it..just the new 3yr pl and said the 4K Joey was coming..I am a Dish partner and sell them alongside other products..
