I push and hold down the button when I say turn receiver on and nothing happens ,but I could be in the wrong mode when I first turn my a/v receiver and tv on.On the 54 remote, you have to press the microphone button to get the receiver to respond to voice commands. My Wally turns on as soon as I press the microphone button (or any other button, for that matter). Not only do I not have to say any voice command, I don't even get the chance to say a voice command to try to turn the receiver on, since it is already on at that point.
