Homeland: Showtime

Thank goodness, no more or very little Dana. Her story arc was worthless.

After reading the links provided from NotforMe it's clear that this year's disaster season was thanks to Showtime. Producers had intended to kill off Brody much earlier, but Show protested, and they bowed down, hence a irrelevant PADDING resulting in a major waste of time and talent.

This series has pretty much jumped the shark for me.
I just don't care about it so much any more.
Wasn't very satisfying as it rambled on.

Well, they need to develop a new, interesting central character. Too much crazy Carrie will sink it.

The guy who played Carrie's dad in the show, James Rebhorn, died over the weekend. He had volunteered to watch Carrie's kid. Wonder what the show will do with that story line now?

Probably the sister will take over.

RIP James Rebhorn.... excellent character actor.

Will Homeland address the passing of James Rebhorn (Carrie’s father) this season?
Remembering Rebhorn as “one of the kindest, most supportive and wonderful men to work with,” EP Alex Gansa Homeland Quinnwas mum at TCA on how exactly the show will write in his absence. ”We want to honor him,” he said, “but how we actually go about doing that, I’d rather not say.”

Got any juicy scoop about Homeland? I love Carrie and Quinn — what’s in store for them in Season 4?
Again, top secrecy. “We’re all very much invested in the Quinn character,” is all that EP Alexander Cary would say at TCA. But as a consolation prize, Jane, I offer this from Gansa: “I can say unequivocally that Dana Brody will not be back for Season 4.” [And the crowd goes wild.]

Though the Showtime drama isn't getting a full two-hour episode for its season premiere, it will return with two back-to-back episodes on Oct. 5. That's also good news for incoming drama The Affair. The series is bowing on Oct. 12, earlier than originally anticipated.
In the aftermath of Homeland’s stunning finale last season, there is such strong anticipation for the start of season four that we wanted to give Homeland fans an extra generous helping of Carrie and company,” said network exec vp originals Gary Levine. “Once we decided to premiere Homeland with a double episode, it made sense to use the momentum of that event to launch our newest series, The Affair, the very next week on October 12.”

Anticipation? The characters have moved on. What's to watch? Thanks, Homeland producers, for saving me money not having to purchase this channel again.
