Hisense is driving my wife nuts!

We just got a Hisense 50U6G and we love it EXCEPT... we cannot for the find the right code for our Dish remotes. Any close to the Hisense model number code does not turn off the TV, rather it gives a small option screen to restart or turn off... but only with the Hisense remote. HELP!

Check how to teach your Dish remote with tv's. You may get lucky. If nothing works, consider Harmony remotes. Pricey but people love them.

I have them, and nothing would work as well in my situation (home automation), but do be aware that they are no longer made, and who knows much longer they will be supported.

Found it, with some Dish help. Apparently my wife's remote was in the "limited" mode. When reset to "off' it worked properly. Thanks.

Also, found that the Vizio codes work... no idea why.

These companies sell codes to one another. I have a 75 inch TCL set as my pc monitor. When they hooked up one of my clients to it it used an insignia code!!!

Sharp sold there tv rights to hisense also. I had a sharp 1080p set I didn't like it that much. I thought the PQ sucked...

Yep, that's another one and every brand Roku TV works with TCL code. Sharp codes on the Hopper remotes (RCA, too) can be a pain to find so I've used Hisense many times

That's a great tip to remember -being in limited mode.
