Hiding channels

Is there a way to hide channels so they don't show up in the guide? I know Directv can do it, I just can't find it on my 942. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On my 811, I set up a customized channel list which I can name and select as default as opposed to using All Channels or All Sub.

If you look in the manual under channel locks it will tell you how to lock certain channels, then "hide" those locked channels from appearing in any of your guides. I do this alot, as there are many, many channels I would never watch.

Thats what I do for my 311's and 811. Lock channels I don't want to see, then "Hide Locked".
Works great for the plethra of PPV's and Shopping channels I don't want to see when browsing the guide.
Doesn't work for th e721 though, as you can only hide porn on it.
