Channel 293, It's squeezed into a 4x3

I've been trying to get Dish to get this network for the last 4 years and if it wasn't for this website and group of people I wouldn't have known about it until Dish announced it on their website 2-3 months after they had it on.

What they do on H&I is advertise Twitter #allstartrek as a way to group tweet all the classic Star Trek series. They show them in episode order. They repeat the cycle every few months.

MeTV shows Star Trek TOS on Saturday night. Every few months coincidently the same episode will be on Sunday night on H&I and diehard trekies tweet both times.

This why I went to Amazon Prime because most of the shows were there. The only problem now is I like Amazon Prime.

If want to watch Star Trek, any version of it, I simply go to CBS All Access and stream it.

With exception of Picard and Discovery, that would be the last place I'd go. All the rest is on Prime with no commercials, period,

I have the no commercial tier of service so I don’t see them either. I have no commercials on any CBS related programming except live TV.

We watch enough to make it worth yearly subscription. Others maybe not so much.

The ST episodes also don't seem to be as hacked up on H&I as they are on other networks like BBC America.

And Dish...if A&E can be called A&E in the guide why can't H&I be called H&I instead of HERIC? Inquiring minds want to know

In my guide it is H&I. Of course, I only see it on OTA channel 055-04. Channel 293 is obviously not included in my International Basic subscription, since I do not even see that channel in the guide. My sister does not see it with Welcome Pack, either. Did we ever get confirmation of exactly which packages are supposed to include this channel?

HERIC doesn't make much sense. Unless they want us not to notice H&I is back for 2 or 3 months.

In my guide it is H&I. Of course, I only see it on OTA channel 055-04. Channel 293 is obviously not included in my International Basic subscription, since I do not even see that channel in the guide. It needs to be HD like on OTA locals we get. The HD does make a big difference for H&I just as it does for MeTV.

Complaints about not being in HD aside, for me H&I is a welcome addition to the Dish lineup, and the channel looks pretty good on my TV.

Also, unlike Comet with their logo on the screen being big time annoyingly intrusive, the H&I logo has sufficient opacity to be less annoying.

Dish can't give you what doesn't exist. H&I is an SD only channel from the source.
