I am seeing some serious improvements lately in our WR corps with Schillens FINALLY playing and healthy and Johnnie Lee Higgins having a little more confidence in both himself and the team on him.

Regardless of the Raiders getting lit up like a Christmas tree tree against the Pats, JaMarcus has played well. I am starting to get more confident about this kid more and more....:up
I agree this team is finally playing a little ball. I hope they keep growing and Davis does the right thing!

I am gonna call you Hit...because it feels strange calling you "Black"....LOL!:o
Did you see the thread I posted about Parcells, rumor has it he has THE RAIDERS on his list of teams he would like to work for....

Props to the Raiders. 5-11 season. Two more wins than I anticipated. They probably won today cuz Crazy Al stayed in Oakland.

I actually wanted to say that....but I was afraid they might lose because he was NOT THERE!!! But I am 2 short what I originally predicted, but the moment all this coaching turmoil started....I knew that would not happen. I just hope we can add ONE more good receiver...(Crabtree perhaps??!!:D:D:D) and some decent O linemen to pass block and we could be on our way. The West will be wide open again.....

....Jesus, am I as giddy as a 8th grade girl after her first kiss.....:o:o:o

good finish for the raiders! congrats salsa.

Yes, good finish by the Raiders indeed!

Every year it seems like there's a handful of teams that finish out of the playoffs, but should be proud of the way they hung in there and didn't quit.

The Raiders head that list this year. Other teams, IMO, that didn't make the playoffs, but can hold their heads high:

San Francisco- won 5 of their last 7 to finish a respectable 7-9.......sign Singletary NOW Niners!!!

New England (I HATE  to admit this)- after their debacle against Pittsburgh, I thought this team was done. Even though they finished on the outside looking in, they won their last 4 games (3 of them blowouts) and finished 11-5.

New Orleans- Okay they finished 8-8, but they played tough EVERY week.

Denver, Dallas, Tampa Bay and my Jets  can take a lesson from these teams. I give a pass to Cleveland who was down to their 4th string QB.

Again, congrats to the Raiders and their fans on the way they finished the season. With your running attack (McFadden, Fargas and Bush are a fierce threesome), franchise QB and solid D, the only thing I think you're missing is a receiver or two. :up

I give the Raiders credit. They didn't quit. I think Russell is going to be a very good qb. The problem in the way of the Raiders is the Raiders. What I mean is that Al Davis and everyone else better get there heads on straight because maybe the Raiders as a team is on to something.

From your mouth the Crypt Keepers waxed filled ears!!! HOPEFULLY...and I am crossing every part on my body I can cross.....that Al Davis LEAVES Cable ALONE to develope this young team. IF he changes the coach now.....which I have a strange feeling he will give the team to that useless tub-of-goo, Rob Ryan......the Raiders will be BACK to square one!:(:(:(:(

ahhh..... you were at the game. sweet! how are those buc fans up there? :D

I was SO damn exited from yesterday, I left about 11pm last night and I am still wide awake!!! FLEW on I-75 and got home at 4:00ish....got a couple of ZZZ and I am feeling it. I think I will be working from home today....LOL!

The poor Buc fans looked like they were just at a wake! :(:D

RB Michael Bush carried the ball 27 times for 178 yards and 2 TDs.

I'm gonna have to record the shortcuts of this game so i can get a good look at it :D

I honestly think that ONLY the Dolphins and the Giants have a better running back corp than the Raiders...and the Raiders have THE BEST 3-headed snake in the league....:up

The Oakland Raiders are in the process of requesting permission tospeak with New York Giants offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride abouttheir vacant head coach position, according to a report from ESPNsenior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen.

As the Giants enter their bye week for the opening round of theplayoffs, Gilbride is expected to take the opportunity to interview forthe job. New York (12-4) is the NFC's top seed and has home-fieldadvantage throughout the postseason.

However, Raiders sources tell Mortensen that interim head coach Tom Cable has a solid chance of retaining the post

TRUE but the coaches never wanted to play them! They stuck with only Fargas for so long! Heck they had Bush at full back!
