Help!

ca-born,

I wouldn't say you are not patient. Anyway, it looks like when you were adjusting your dish, the switch got confused on what birds it was picking up and when you did another check switch, it went through its checks, found the correct satellites and downloaded the programming.

Do you think maybe your son grab the dish as he was falling? :D

Glad it's working.

shslane,

015 - Lost the satellite signals.

Could mean:
(1) The satellites in the sky quit working, but they are still working.
(2) Trees, snow, heavy rain are now blocking the signals reaching the dish.
(3) The LNBF on the dish went out.
(4) The switch, if any, went out.
(5) The cables between the Dish and Switch, Switch and Receiver, or maybe Dish and Receiver, got damaged.
(6) Your receiver went out.

I think first, I would unplug your receiver, and if you have a power supply on a switch, I would unplug it also. Wait about 5 minutes, and then plug them in, and hopefully everything will then work.

How about a little more info, and then someone here may be able to give you some more things to check.

- Recever type(s)
- Dish type(s)
- Switch type
- What programming, AT-120, High Definition, Locals,
- What part of the country, and did you have bad weather when it went out.
- What was going on when it went out.
