I'm thinking of "moving" to Kansas City, MO.
Looks like the locals there are on a ConUS beam on the 129 so shouldn't be a problem there.
Will I lose my current Dish locals (non-HD) if I move, or will the KC locals just be added to the guide?
I guess Dish doesn't check the address to see where its at if a movie theater address will work? My 722 calling dish from its original billing address also is not a problem?
I understand I'd have to change the address again before a service call.
Thanks.
what would happen if i moved from indianapolis to chicago? eastern time zone to central? would the time get all screwey in my EPG?
How long does it take after talking to CS to get the changes done? I talked to CS about 30 minutes ago, and now my old locals are missing from the map down (ie ABC is no longer 6, etc), but they are still up in the 8500 area. I dont have to new locals, and my OTA HD channels are showing "Digital Service" as the description.
Is this normal? Did I mess something up royally?

I'm in Southwestern VA near Roanoke and want to "move" to either NOVA or Charlotte but I'm not sure how to read if I'm capable of "moving" to these areas
Any help would be appreciated
Are you doing this to get HD locals?
If so, you would n eed to have your dish pointed at the 118* satellite, which I dont know if you already do or not. Your other option is to move to Atlanta GA or Nashville TN since they oth have HD locals on CONUS 129* satellite.
How would I know which bird I'm pointed at?
Thanks
menu, 6, 1, 1
then hit check switch. should show u the ones ur pointed towards.
