help with dish 500 plus signal using a birdog usb plus

i cant seem to get a signal reading on my meter
i attached meter to lnb in on lnb and get nothing
i attach meter directly to #1 and #2 on lnb and get power failure

Can my meter power the lnb

I am new to dish pro plus lnb
Please help

Dish pro plus lnbs are very hard on the power supply with these meters. Try powering the lnb with a receiver & hook your meter to 1 of the other ports. This will definitely help your meter from draining instantly.

Lnb "in" is an input for another satellite. You will never find anything there or have a receiver work on that port.
