The Mercury II is fast as others have said. Mine is hooked to a motorized dish.
The following 3 glitches are very annoying to me. Enough that I'm looking for a better receiver to overcome them (if there is one):
1. When listening to a radio station on either the left or right audio channel the audio setting is reset to both channels when the box is powered off and back on.
2. When switching from Radio to TV (and vice versa) the Mercury II will move the dish to the satellite that was last used for TV (or Radio). I'd prefer it to stay on the current satellite when switching back and forth between Radio and TV. This is time consuming and is extra wear on the motor.
3. The time is lost if you turn off the power on the back of the receiver. I turn off the box when I'm going to be away for a while due to storms.
