Help Me Decide

I just got my ViP722 DVR from Dish, and am now looking at getting a HDTV to take advantage of it. I have 2 options through a local Rental Center on a 1080p 42" (that's as large as I can fit) Flat Screen, and am looking for your input. One is the JVC 7301J4P & the other a Philips 7301PCL. I am going to go look at both in the showroom to see them for myself, but I'm interested in your experience with either of these two models. Thanks in advance.

Record some stuff in HD and SD, carry the DVR there and play it back to see for yourself which looks better.
