And this is because as some posted the problem was with APPLE not DISH. It's not only common but sometimes advantageous not to make an app that is for newer OP systems not be backwards compatible. But as I said, with Android you can go back if you want, but as importantly normally you won't be able to download the newer version if it won't work for your OP system. APPLE has finally addressed the issue.

It looks like a lot of you have seen this already, but here's some more information!
We have received news that Apple now supports apps not compatible with iOS6 for Generation 1 iPads. This means that these will now work with DISH Anywhere. http://9to5mac.com/2013/09/17/ios-a...loads-to-support-older-hardware-and-software/
