I was running a H20 -100 recevier on my Pioneer plasma and it looked GREAT.

The recevier went bad and stopped working so I had a older H10 recevier sitting
here at my home so I replaced the none working H20 with the H10 and WOW
the pic looks like junk not close to how it looked before.

Is this do to the H10 being a old Recevier?? What should I do here?

will the H20 look better then the H10?

Whats the Newest best Reciever out now from Directv?

Thanks for any info and input.

Oh and I have a 3 LNB dish in so.cal. I don't know if that matters at all.

Might as well get a HR20. :)

You will need a 5 LNB Dish to get all the new HD coming this fall.

Call DirecTV and they will take care of you. Let us know how you make out.

So you think it's the older recevier making it looknig that bad.

Well, it would have to be. Looked great on your newer receiver. Looks like bunk on your old one.

Most people think the HR20 has the best PQ of any DirecTV receiver out there. But PQ is only in the eye of the beholder.

I'm talking about the Non HD Channels. The HD looks fine on the H10 but
it's the Non HD that looks bad.

I think you pretty much answered your own question in previous posts.
You had the opportunity to use both and you determined that the H-20's look better than the H-10's ...
Thats good, they should improve with each newer rec. also don't forget that the H-20's also support the MPEG4 format that the H-10's do not.
