I am trying to combine my OTA antenna with the TV2 output so I can watch local channels as well as the TV2 signal in other rooms in the house. I split the antenna to go to the main TV and then used another splitter/combiner to combine the TV2 output with the antenna. It worked fine and I could watch local channels as well as TV2 in other rooms in the house.
But, since the coax to the rest of the house is a long run with a 4-way splitter the signal to the other rooms was weak. So I bought a VHF/UHF/FM signal amplifier and connected it just before the 4-way splitter. Now the TV2 signal is really bad. If I disconnect the antenna from the combiner the problem goes away. If I don't use the amplifier the problem goes away but then I have to deal with grainy picture in the other rooms of the house.
Any idea why I can't combine the antenna and use the amplifier together?
Could it be that the amplifier is sending the TV2 output back up through the antenna?
