As I stated if you read what I posted, that by year end, SD only boxes will be a thing of the past by the end of this year, along with Mpeg-4 being the standard for all providers. Starting in 2015, you will start to see 4k/UHD transmissions by providers.
By 2016, 4k/UHD transmissions will increase by 10% as the numbers are showing from the manufacturers of the hd sets, Blu-Ray players, and along with those providers/studios that can afford the 4k/UHD capable cameras, recorders, encoders. The newer encoders that are being installed by CATV, ATT, etc, are already 4k/UHD capable, along with some are 8k capable at this point.
Get off of these forums, and start looking outside at what is going on in the tv, movie and content delivery systems (ie CATV, IPTV, Satellite), you will find that things right now are starting to move a little faster in gearing up for the big push in 2015, so that they are ready for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, when NBC, BBC and a few other networks, will be showcasing them in 4k/UHD.
Japan is set to start broadcasting in 4k/UHD this Summer.

Start getting out more Jimbo, you will know this stuff. Stay on these boards, you will only continue to state that it is hearsay, because you think of it as second hand knowledge.
