HDNet Celebrates 2005 With Concerts, Comedies, and the Best of the Year's News, Entertainment and Sports

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - DALLAS - December 20, 2005 - HDNet closes out another year packed with great original programming with a week of concert and comedy marathons, and several "Best of 2005" news, entertainment and sports programs. Here is a look at HDNet's primetime lineup through the end of the year:

Saturday, Dec. 24
- Christmas Cackles - Settle in for a Christmas Eve comedy marathon with 19 back-to-back episodes of viewer favorite "Andy Richter Controls the Universe," followed by several episodes of "Greg the Bunny," the new and innovative comedy series starring Seth Green and Eugene Levy that follows the adventures of Greg, a bunny puppet who lands his dream job on a children's television show. Saturday, Dec. 24, 1:00 pm - 2:00 am ET

Sunday, Dec. 25 - Music Night
- Best of 2005 True Music - Host Katie Daryl takes a look back at the best True Music acts of 2005. Some of the great bands featured in the third season of this original concert series program include Bowling for Soup, Bob Schneider, John Hiatt, Dishwalla and Radiant. Sunday, Dec. 25, 8:00 pm ET
- Best of 2005 HDNet Concerts - This half-hour show features highlights from some of the classic performances we've shown on the HDNet Concert Series in 2005, including the crowd surfers at Papa Roach, Matchbox Twenty, Son Volt, The Isley Brothers, The Allman Brothers' Dickey Betts, and a classic 50th Anniversary of the Stratocaster from England. - Barenaked For The Holidays: "Live at the Rehearsal Hall" - In this HDNet concert premiere, one of Canada's most popular bands brings its own brand of seasonal cheer to a very special installment of the award-winning series "Live at the Rehearsal Hall." The band performs an eclectic collection of traditional carols and infectious originals inspired by Christmas and Hanukkah from their album "Barenaked for the Holidays." Sunday, Dec. 25, 9:00 pm ET
- Sting - Sacred Love - HDNet brings back one of its best and most beautiful music specials, featuring all new interviews, documentary footage and live performances of songs from Sting's new album "Sacred Love" as well as other Sting and Police classics. Sunday, Dec. 25, 10:00 pm ET

Monday, Dec. 26 - Family Night
- Summerland Marathon - Monday is Family Night on HDNet, so grab some hot chocolate and catch a full day of "Summerland," including three premiere episodes during primetime. "Summerland" is a heartwarming series in which Ava Gregory, an ambitious woman with a blossoming career is thrown into family life when her sister and brother-in-law are killed in an accident, leaving Ava to raise their three children, 16-year-old Bradin, 13-year-old Nikki and 9-year-old Derrick. Starring Lori Loughlin, Jesse McCartney, and Merrin Dungey. Monday, Dec. 26, 8:00 am - 2:00 am ET

Tuesday, Dec. 27 - See the World
- Best of 2005 - A Momentous Year for the HDNet World Report - World Report cameras spent 2005 covering the globe. From the war and elections in Iraq to the change in Popes in Rome, from the return of Shuttle Discovery to space to the death and destruction from Tsunamis and Hurricanes, 2005 brought major changes to the world. This three-hour special covers it all. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 8:00 pm ET

Wednesday, Dec. 28 - Danger and Drama Night
- Get serious with HDNet's drama series, including the premiere of the final episode of "Blind Justice," followed by "Boomtown," winner of 2003 Television Critics Association awards for outstanding new show and outstanding drama, and "The Agency." Wednesday, Dec. 28, 8:00 pm ET

Thursday, Dec. 29, and Saturday, Dec. 31 - Sports
- Best of 2005 HDNet Sports - Join host Kandace Krueger in this one-hour special as she takes a look back at some of HDNet's best moments in the world of sports, including NASCAR Grand National Division auto racing, Santa Anita Big 'Cap horse racing, the Little 500 bicycle race in Bloomington, Indiana and the Wooden Classic basketball tournament in Anaheim. Catch the best goals of the year in soccer and hockey, including Sydney Crosby's first goal as an NHL player. Thursday, Dec. 29, 7:30 pm ET
