I have arranged to get HD, HD local for Wash. DC, and HD DVR service with Dish Network thru a local retailer. I will have two receivers. He mentioned that I may end up with two dishes with the upgrade. I currently have one dish with two coaxial cables leading from the dish into my house. One cable goes to each of my two receivers.

Does this have to be done with two dishes? If yes, can just the two cables I have now entering the house be enough? I prefer not to have to penetrate the house again for another cable.

Thanks,

Bert

Yes it can be done with the two existing cables and yes there will be two dishes because the DC Hd locals are on 61.5 with the bulk of the other hd channels in your area and the rest of Dish's core programming will come from your current dish.
