I have had the all included Select Pack since last November. I was interested in adding the Movies Extra Pack at $4.99 per month. When I went to my account there was a warning that I would also have to pay a $10 per month HD access fee. I of course already get HD. Is this true? I certainly am not going to pay $14.99 a month for this package and would rather ask our knowledgable members here than play CSR roulette or take a chance of seeing this charge on my next statement.

It’s a glitch it’s only $4.99 for the package I agree with Raoul

I was curious, so I went up to those channels to see how they look as I don't usually watch movies, just thought I'd drop in ...
I have the Ultimate Package ... which apparently isn't Ultimum choice as those HD Movies Only package that it use to be ... (extra money and all) doesn't seem to be in ANY Package ... I'm guessing its in the package that gets everything, but you never know.

So in this day and age where 90% of everything we watch is in HD, those channels still think they are SPECIAL.

4.99 addl. to watch them, I'll pass.

I’ll pass also they should just add it when you get the Premier Package to make you have every channel you want imo

Thanks to all for the information. I just added the Movies Extra Pack and my billing shows just $1.47 for the remaining partial month. I wanted it primarily for the Smithsonian Channel as with the Select Pack I get very little in educational programming beyond my local PBS station. NASA is interesting but very repetitive and in blurry SD. I would have liked to get the Science Channel or American Heroes but they are several tiers up.
Although the Pack came on immediately it does not show in "Channels I Get" and is still the darker grey in the guide. Will that change in time?

It should show in the guide correctly, but not necessarily in the channels I get guide. That has never worked properly despite many complaints about it.

This morning it is showing in "Channels I Get". Yes, I don't know why they can not fix that guide, the DVR obviously has the subscription information available. I have learned which ones I don't really get such as all of the sports channels, El Rey, AHC and more. At least I do not believe there are any channels that I do get which are not included.

Don't trust the "Channels I Get" feature.
