HD Channels on 118.7

Hey All,

Intresting things from Dish, tho I think they are smoking something back there in the tech office. I was speaking with a Tech today that informed me that about 3 weeks ago Dish made HD channels available on 118.7 as part of a migration that they are doing and that this would allow me to pick them up in my area now. I asked them if they were sure and I was informed yes, HD is now mirrored on 61.5, 129, and 118.7 and she actually put me on hold and verified this with her supervisor. This is the first I had heard of this and it seemed odd, so I thought I would see if anyone else had heard of this as none of the local techs have any clue about this, tho one more call back to dish again verified this with yet another tech in their call center.

That's the problem with "truth"...it's measured in portions. What was said to you is half-true. Yes, SOME HD channels are on the 118.7; a few locals...that's about it.

Like Webbydude said, there is HD content on the birds you mentioned, that's nothing new. There's a couple on the 110 as well.

What is exactly you are seeking to know? There's a dozen different answers to a dozen different questions.

As webbydude said, it's just a few locals. No HD from 61.5 or 129 is mirrored there, though you will need one of those along with 110 to get the national HD channels and RSN.
