We had some storms roll through on Thursday, and that's when the problems started. The satellite was cutting out, saying searching for signal with the bl ack screen. Eventually after they passed, the signal came back. Some storms came through again Friday and Saturday, and the signal was cutting out again, but this time it was odd...the clouds would pass and the signal wouldn't come back. Also, certain channels would come in, but not all of them. Some channels would search for signal and some would come in fine. Now on Saturday at about 1pm, no channels will pick up. It just says searching for signal. When you soft reboot (info and right button) it doesn't go through it's aquiring signal process, just the black screen with searching for signal at the bottom. Does the same thing when you unplug it for 5 mins. We did a dish test in the menu, and we are getting transponder 18 at about 93%. I checked the splitter outside and it seems fine. I don't think it would be any of the cables if the transponder reads 93% anyway.

What do you think?

You could have a moisture problem in any of the outdoor connections. Also, TP 18 is a spot beam. It has higher power. You need to check all TP signal strengths when the problem exists and then report your findings here. BTW, what you called a splitter is really called a multiswitch. What dish do you have?
