H3 does not see external hard drive

Yesterday, I had an H3 installed and when everything was done my old WD external HD was mia. I will be doing some trouble shooting today to figure out what is going on. The drive is about 9 years old and may just have died but it was working when connected to the HWS I had replaced by the H3. I used it Sunday night to transfer recordings before the H3 update.
Any thought are appreciated.

Being the first day on the new H3, it might just be that yours is still settling in. Can't remember for sure, but seems like when I got my current H3, it took a day or two before it recognized my EHD.

Problem solved. The installer had left the EHD unplugged. In fairness to him I have a very messy rats nest behind the receiver. All working now.
