Grainy/blurred HD picture - vip 211

I am using dishnetwork HD since last 1 month. All the HD channels were good until 12/10/2008, when suddenly the sound disappeared and I got the HD picture with green tint.

I have 1080p full HDTV, connected to vip 211 with HDMI cable. The software on vip 211 is L523.

I tried with another HDMI cable, changed the HDMI ports, reset my HD receiver box, but of no use. I have soungd but the HD picture quality is not that good.

HD box is set 1080i (16 x 9) maximum. No zoom nothing.

Any ideas why the picture quality is blurred on the edges?

And if that doesn't work try connection with component cables, that should fix the problem unless it is internal to either the receiver or TV.

Well it sounds like your receiver needs to be replaced. Try the previous two techniques and see if that works. If not, have it replaced.

before you replace the receiver, try connecting it using RCA cables, no HDMI, NO component if its still blurry its ur TV
its really rare to get a blurry picture out of a dish hd receiver, most cases its the TV

try to connect something else thru HDMI or component also, check if they are blurry as well
like a progressive scan DVD or an HD game console (ps3 xbox 360)
