In an earlier thread, "...Nightmare...", I ranted about Dish not meeting their Jan. 10th install and not knowing when it could happen.

Well after several E-mails & calls they came through beautifully with an excellent, professional installation on Saturday morning, Jan. 13th. I believe that when I rant on a forum thread like I did on Jan. 10th, I have an obligation to report it on this forum when things are corrected.
The installer arrived at 8:30 AM with the correct new equipment and proceeded to first swap my old SuperDish/Dish500 combination for a new Dish1000. I live on a heavy forested lake in Northern Wisconsin, so my Dishes are mounted on the front of my boathouse by lakeside. It was 5 degrees below zero temperature as the installer did his Dish swap.
After aiming the new Dish1000, I helped the installer complete the 622/211 installations in my two complex A/V systems.
He finally activated the new receivers and programming and was done in about 3 hours.
Bottom line is that (after the first 2 days) I couldn't be more satisfied with the operation of both new receivers. HD picture quality is stunning and there seems to be even an improvement in SD picture quality over my old Dish501/Dish811 combination.

It's stories like this that make the job worth doing, as an installer. :)

Awfully glad you like your set-up. And credit to your installer as well. Five degress below zero? Egad man! No wonder it took him that long. Heavy rain and/or cold really slows me down to a snail-pace as well. Hate to make any mistakes during those situations. Not to mention my fingers aren't as nimble as they used to be when I was in my 20's or early 30's.
