If I'm not mistaken, you can connect Hoppers and/or Joeys with ethernet (vs standard coaxial cable), but Dish doesn't "support" it. Same with a Joey being on wireless. It works, but is again unsupported. If all Hoppers and Joeys are in Ethernet mode, have their own IP address, does this take some strain off the MoCA so it is not all maxed out allowing streaming between Hoppers and Joeys to be more reliable?
Companies can have different levels...
- Supported
- It works but is unsupported
- It may work or may not but we definitely won't support it and will in fact restrict allowing it in our system for internal reasons.
