Has anybody used the same google marketplace account on two Android based phones? My wife and I both have Android phones and I was wondering if we would be able to use a purchased app on both of the phones. This is one thing that I really like about the iPhone (or iTouch) is that I could buy the app and put it on as many phones as I wanted as long as they were synced to my iTunes account.

Since your marketplace account is tied to your google account, I would doubt it, unless you include the same google account on both phones. That would get tricky though, since the primary google account for the phone links not just to gmail but to the calendar, and the market, and maps, and anything else google. Could it be done? If it can be done, my gut says it would really complicate the user experience.

You are right that on the ipod you can sync up to five devices with the same itunes account. But since the google experience is essential to the Android OS, I am thinking it is unlikely, but I haven't tried either.
