New to dish, was with D for about 12 years and got turned down on the freebie HR10-250 deal so here I am with E.

Had to get an install date when my wife could be at home so we had to wait about 2 weeks for a good time for us and D to get together.

No phone call first, kinda surprised me, they drove 85 miles to install without a confirmation call. Showed up about 10:00 and my wife called me so I locked the office up and went to the house to show them where I wanted the ground hooked up. They used my existing RG-6 cable that speeded up the install plus I went ahead and hooked up the receiver for them before I left. It was probably less then an hour install and everything worked.

Funny: I've read this one on this and some other boards: They left the VIP set to 480i. :)

Good: My hdmi to dvi cable is working, All the HD channells look and sound GREAT.
PIP is working correctly. :)

Don't know: This sucker really does run hot doesn't it?

You may want to check out one of these products then (Chillpad photo: http://www.jr.com/Templates/HiRes/J...tle=TARGUS+PA248U+Tornado+Notebook+Chill+Pad) (Chillpad product details and purchase price: http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=303620&pfp=BROWSE), they range from 20-50 bucks, you plug it into a USB port (just needs the power from the USB, not data) then set the VIP onto the pad, and you'll have a much cooler unit.:

Also, there are many different manufacturers of these, below is the google url which will show you various makes if the chillpad isn't what you like, since most (if not all) need a USB port to power it, I don't know if the VIP622 has a usb port or not, but if it does, this is a great option, anyways, hope it helps.
