Gettinga 508 to call out

I use a wireless jack for the 508 receiver in my living room. It gets a dial tone but the receiver was never able to dial out and I had to occasionally hook up a long cord to hook it up to standard phone jack.

I decided to try the modem capable jacks. The problem is that now the receiver has no need to call out. Can I make it so so just to test the connection. The diagnostic screen does not force it.

Try using one of the dish home functions (like view your statement) it will dial in for that.

And it worked just fine. Thanks again. Maybe i will get really cocky and see if it works for caller ID.
