getting local channels after move?

i just changed my service address from lexington ky , to new york city so that i can get nyc locals. my thing is i noticed that i also have the lexington ky locals. and when i called dish, and asked them what was on my account they said i had lexington locals for like $10 and new york locals. could this really happen on dish?

Yes it could, what Im wondering is why your paying $10 for your lexington locals or is it $10 for both?

to move all i did was give them a new service address. i also told them that i had my dish installed already at the new address, then they informed me that i would get new york city locals now, and bang it was done.

I am suprised that the Lexington locals are still there!! Somebody forgot to turn them off.
If you really want both (keep quite about it) if they discover there mistake they will turn off the Lexington locals.

I moved from South Florida to New York several months ago. The Miami locals stayed on the dish for a few weeks, and then disappeared.

I am getting Dish Network installed next week. I live in Indianapolis and have been receiving out of market affiliates for over 25 years. I hate my locals. Does this work with the local telephone line installed? I could wait a month and move and use my cousins address in NYC. The only thing I am worried about is the telephone number. Did you have to give them a NYC telephone #?
