getting 118 satlite channels

i have superdish but i want to get satlite 118 for international channels.but i dont want to install 118repont kit is there anyotherway to get that satlite .right now i have 61.5,110,119,121

Nope, 118 uses an fss lnb, the repoint kit is the easiest way to get it.

Nope you need a repoint the 118.7 is a FSS satellite and is lower power it needs the 500+ LNB

You will need special kit for continue using your superdish - order from Dish, or shop at eBay.

what kind of kit you mean 118repoint.is that kit for all dishes or just for superdish?

It is just for the superdish. A Dish 500+ is a replacement dish for the normal Dish 500 and would not give you 121.

can you catch 118 with a 30" dish with a 11.7-12.75 Ghz lnb?

Yes, but you'll have to modify it if it linear LNBF - see my pictures.

You can get the 118/119 assy and put it on the Super dish, Dishdepot has them for $70

well i was trying to go the least costly method because about 2 months ago i purchased the 1000.2 and a new 500. so from what i researched is that i could use a 30" and just swap the current lnb with a circular one. or if i can modify my linear one to a circular?

btw, i used my 30" to catch 97w with it, so is that the same lnb i can use for 118.7 w ?
