I found a bug last night with 1107 - I had deleted out the non-North American satellites after the installation of 1107 had destroyed my satellite list that I had going with 1045. In the satellite setup screen on one of the individual satellites, I went to the TP list and did a blue-button "delete all" to remove all factory TP entries to get ready to do a fresh blindscan. All the TP entries were deleted as desired and the satellite went back to "Astra xx" (the first satellite position) as expected since that bug hasn't been fixed. When arrowing back to the satellite I was working with, I found there were all 271 satellites in the sat list, not just my north American ones.

Summary: in 1107 when doing a delete all TP, the satellite list seems to go back to the factory full list rather that staying at whatever the current satellite list was before the delete all TP action.

The deleting of the non-North American sats was done through the receiver and not from the test sat editor software.

The same issue with the password input box popping up 3 or 4 times.
Gfox, can you take 30 seconds video of now the password shows up? We have enabled password for kids safety, but the recording was not set to password protect.
Can you follow these instructions:
1. back up your channels
2. download http://hdvrbox.com/up/usb_update_20150918.bin and rename it to usb_update.bin
3. turn your receiver off and do manual update using Up Arrow + Menu button.
4. once updated, do factory default.

This should clear the password. If not, we will do one more reset.
let me know if you need additional instructions.

I made a 30 second video with my phone and emailed to myself to have the video to attach here but I get a message that the extension is not allowed. It is a .mov video clip. I downloaded the new bin file and will try it later. I can email the video to you or let me know how I can get it to you. The video also shows the PAUSE indicator and the progress meter staying on as well as the need for me to input a password twice to be able to watch the recording.

You have to compress it. Either ZIP or RAR. Or post to YouTube, that's what i do.
Here is the video of me having to put in a password twice to view a recording. My video is not steady, phone in one hand and remote in the other but I believe that you can see what is going on.

I'd like to get rid of child lock on recordings as well, very annoying when trying to preview or play my files when I have a lot of recordings. I have the parental controls and age restriction both turned off as well, has no affect on recordings :(
I told you wrong in an earlier message to turn off the System lock and the Parental rating to eliminate the need to enter a password. As you know we were both experiencing the necessity to input a password when watching the DVR recordings and SatAV just informed me to change the Parental rating age to 18 and that worked. No more need to enter a password. Sorry about misleading you.

Go ahead and set the age to 18. Thats what causes it.
That did work changing the age to 18 and ALSO, after making a couple of recording tests the problem that I was encountering with the Pause indicator and the progress bar staying on the screen while the recording was playing did not happen anymore after the password request box was disabled.

I had a similar issue with my custom list, but after I turned off the power on the back of the receiver, and restarted, it corrected itself, weird, but glad it worked.

GEOSATpro HDVR3500 Database Manager beta is available for testing (Windows only for now). Please test it and report your experience:

Don't know if this a bug or not, but when I open a satellite list that is a XML file, and save it as an XML file, and close the app, and try to reopen the file, it has moved all the satellite to the terrestrial category... if I save it as a BIN file it seems to set all satellites to c-band, (my list was ku-band only) and the LNB to dual 5150, so I have to re-edit them 1 by 1...

My file downloaded from the receiver seems to be OK, unless I delete satellites or add a new one, the I get the mixed up list like was mentioned in an earlier post, but mine seems to correct itself after powering off with the switch on the back of the receiver.

I was also wondering if sorting by satellite, transponders, channels, etc (similar to what Channel Master used to do) can be added to the editor? Also an option to change all the LNB settings for all or selected satellites.

As we get into it, some features will be made available, some obvious ones.

Oops, I told you wrong it was placing them in the Cables category... playing with the satbeams file now, same issue made the Ku C-band...

I'll keep that in mind the next time it occurs to me. I fixed this issue by doing the yellow button/enter and deleted out the sats that returned and made a backup to a USB drive. I've done 3 delete all TP's and fresh blind scans of other satellites without the issue returning so I don't know what triggers it, making it likely harder for the firmware coders to figure out and fix it.

--------

Instead of me creating a separate new post, my question is there a way to write the DB file to the internal flash drive? When I create a backup of the DB, it always asks for a USB drive to be put in the front or rear ports with no option apparent for using the internal USB drive that I can see listed in the "storage manager" section.

Since we enabled internal drive sharing it becomes no brainier, we should see option to back up to internal drive in the next version or one after.

New update 1129 is available.

Short summary:

608/708 cc is working (better then microHD in some cases)
Motor control improved
HD viewing improved
Autoupdate on Firmware now can be disabled (you may need to do factory default)

Back up your current settings by going to Menu > Manager > Data Transfer > Transfer Service Data to USB storage.

To update, please go to Menu > Manager > Version > Online Update. Then click on Firmware Version and select 1129.
