GEOSATPro 36" on 2" OD Mount

It's my understanding the GEOSATPro 36" dish is designed for a 1.66" OD mount/pole. I have a 2" OD pole that would be great for the dish. Just wondering if this dish can fit that large of a mount/pole or will I need an adapter to drop it to 1.66" OD.

So I assume, due to the lack of responses, that it will probably not fit on a 2" OD mount. I also looked at some technical stuff on the dish and it seems it's made for a 1 5/8" or 1.66" mount, and 2" is probably too big. If anyone knows otherwise, please let me know. Thanks.

Take small piece of 1.66" pipe, insert it inside the 2" pipe, and that is all.

Yeah, but 2" pipe is filled with concrete, was for a WildBlue, installer didn't have right pole, so I filled it with concrete to make it more stable. I may just rip it up and put in a new pole.

No need to change existing pipe. Then make an adapter- take 1.66" pice of pipe and another small piece which has inner diameter >2". Weld them together and install on top of your 2" pipe. Not a big deal, easier that install new long pipe.

Sorry, I wasn't clear, it's a 2 3/8" OD chain link fence post filled with concrete. It had a 2 3/8" to 2" adapter on top for the WildBlue dish. But I had filled the 2 3/8 with cement because it was just chain link fence grade. Anyway, it's a mess, but the coax is all good as I connected it from the living room (Amiko Mini HD RE) to pole and toned it w/o issue.

Try this company: AI Satellite: Products
They have a number of adapters including over the pipe 2 3/8" to 2" and 2" to 1.66" so they should have what you need to avoid reinstalling the pole. Their QPA238REV adapter will get you down to 2" then a QPA2-166PC will get you down to 1.66". No welding needed.

Trade the 36" dish for a 40" (1.2m) dish with the larger mount... Look for a Channel Master or other commercial dish that has the same mount size as the WildBlue dish. You'll get better signals then too. Make another pole for the 90cm and then you'll have two dishes.

I managed to bust up and remove enough of the cement from the top end of the pole. Then I bolted a 1 5/8" pipe on the side, which turned out sturdy and worked out well. Anyway it's all installed and working now. I still have the 2" adapter for the pole if I ever want to put a larger dish on back on there, and move the 36" onto a 1 5/8" pole.
