George Stienbrenner Passes Away at Age 80

It's not widely known that Steinbrenner actually filmed some scenes for a Seinfeld seventh season episode, but for some reason they never made it on the air....

Wow, may the man rest in peace.

I was listening to Rush Limbaugh the day he passed away and he said that Steinbrenner picked the right year to pass away, as there is no inheritance tax since congress didn't vote to extend it. With the value of the Yankees, if there was a tax it would be likely the family would be forced to sell the team
 
TBS Honors the Boss today...

TBS will commemorate late Yankeee owner George Steinbrenner, who died on Tuesday, with a full slate of "Seinfeld" reruns beginning July 19.

The Steinbrenner character appeared on 13 episodes of "Seinfeld" including the series finale in 1998. TBS will air 10 of them in pairs each night next week from 7-8 p.m.
