Sadoun Sales gave me a call and told me that the Gbox has been delayed another month, which make availability the first of November. They suggested I settle for the Vbox-2 instead. Has anyone found another source for the Gbox? Anything else to consider other than the Vbox-2?

The GBox (V3000) should be here within 2-3 weeks.
The GBox II (V400) will be here around November. This new model will have a built-in polarator control.

I have a place to test it all set up and ready to go.
Been slowly gathering parts for my next BUD setup (have dish/polar mount/ribbon cable/Corotor) and have been hoping this new G-Box would appear soon.
I've had a lot of issues using my Toshiba 1820 for postioning and it would be nice to retire it for use as a analog C/Ku signal slave-only.
Kudos to Sadoun for working with his suppliers to get this thing developed and produced, hope he sells a billion of them (that should drive prices down to where Satellite Guys can afford them!) :up

I might have to figure out a way to put up a BUD temp. Wish I could find a c band roof mount or something.
To bad I don't own the house I'm. So it sits in the storage shed out of the weather to be used.
Oh will it change when you change the voltage? So you don't have to touch anything?

A built-in polarator control, even better! I am going C-Band this fall before it gets too cold so great! I will be driving up (only 2 hours away) to Sadoun and go on a purchase spree! I am looking at their 180CM Dish MKit-5 FTA- C/KU Choice Set and hopefully can get The GBox II (V400) to add to the setup.
I figure this will be a bit more difficult to set up than a KU system but I am up for the challenge! I know big BUD Systems are harder to point and even a bit harder to track the arc if not set up right! Then there are scalar rings and focal points and polar mounts mixed in there, sounds complicated if you are new at it!
I know I am jumping off the thread a bit here but,
Question: Can also it be put on my existing dish using the last DiSEqC
input as 4 and not interfere with the other KU stuff on the system at present?
My set up as follows:
DiSEqC port 1 KU Linear from the Invacom QPH-031
DiSEqC port 2 DBS Circular from the Invacom QPH-031
DiSEqC port 3 Fortec Star FSKU-V Universal
DiSEqC port 4 Empty (Possible C-Band Connection?)

I know what the Sadoun MKit-5 FTA- C/KU comes with but can it be better? I think I will be strictly C band with it but KU would be fun to play with on the big boy also.
I have been looking on the net for setting up a bud today, I know there is allot of help for KU and motorized systems here but I need to look into the forums for setting up a C-band Motorized system so if there is a post on getting started I will have time to find it from now to then.

After re-reading the review, I ordered a GBox.
They shipped me a VBox II, they didn't even ask.
Hope it work as good. I have a VBox V, but it only counts about 10 pulses per 2 degs. I do find myself "bumping" the Dish for Ku.
Most likely, like you control it now with the standard voltage switched LNB; i.e. the receiver outputs 13V or 18V on the dish feed and the GBOX-II translates that in to Polarotor rotation. Hopefully, there is an adjustment on the GBOX-II for the Polarotor starting position so it isn't necessary to rotate the feedhorn for alignment.

I believe when you set up the box for satellite position, you'll be able to set the skew for both V and H for that satellite.Likvid said:

My motor has the "Stone" magnet, "32 pulses per inch" according to the Spec's.
I have an old Super Jack with the same Stone, would that have more Poles?
To use 2 Reed Sensors, are they wired in Series or Parallel?
I am assuming Parallel, 180deg out.

Sorry, the V4000 won't be here before Xmas. It has been delayed due to development cost and production requirements. It is still on the table, but not for the near future. I will keep you informed when it becomes available.
