Phandroid reports from a http://phandroid.com/2013/05/14/gartner-q1-2013/]Gartner Group release[/url] that 75% of WW smartphone sales were Android based. By individual vendors, Samsung is leading the way with ~30%, Apple second at ~18%.
If these numbers were accurate it is mind boggling and, at least presently, confirmation that the multi-vendor strategy is very successful for the OS.
