Folks, its me again, needing help. This time around I'm trying to hit Galaxy 25 at 97.0°W
The frequency is listed as 11898 V
tp 9
The beam is :
Ku

I'm in the NY area. I have two dishes, an 18 inch and a 20 inch. Is it even possible at all to hit this ? I believe this frequency is not C-Band. Or do I still need a 6 ft dish for this ?

Thanks guys.

You need a bigger dish than that to get linear KU signals. And since you don't say what you have, you also need a linear ku lnbf. Old dishnetwork dish/lnb wont get those signals. 33-39" dish is what you want, that should get you all the G25 signals.

sorry i forgot to mention.. its an express vu dish, with a single LNB. I also have a coolsat 5000.

So are u saying if I had a 33-39 inch dish, I'll be able to get this above mentioned signals on Galaxy 25. (? Is that all I need ? Which good dishes are out there (i.e 33-39 inch) ?

thanks again.

you would need a different LNB but yeah just add a 30" or larger dish and a KU Band LNB and you'd be in business :)
