G11 and Nimiq1

I noticed that G11 And Nimiq1 are both 91 degrees, I found Nimiq 1 at 91 does that mean I'm also on g11. I tried scanning for G11 but get nothing.

you need a different type of lnb for G11 than what is used for N1.

G11= linear
N1 = circular

There is a slight difference in their locations. G-11 is at 91.32 degrees. Nimiq 1 is at 91.47 degrees. There's not much on the Ku side of G-11.

Thanks for the replies, I'm using a primestar dish and LNB. Mostly hunting for wildfeeds, when I checked Lyngsat I saw G11 had lots of news feeds listed

unless you want feeds

There is one mux of channels 24/7 but they are all scrambled except for 3 channels that just are color bars...otherwise its news & sports feeds

Well thats pretty much what I'm looking for is wild feeds sports and or news.

Barney try scanning the H side of G11 in the late afternoon, I've found some news feeds sometimes there /but found more on AMC5

So far I like AMC5 I have one dish aimed at AMC5 and one at G10. I've been reading the post about connecting a motor up to the primestar dish sounds interesting. I saw that the sg-2100 motor can hold up to 27 lbs so I might go that way. There was also some good pictures on making the dish lighter by making new brackets for it. I go on vaca in two weeks might be a fun project to tackle.
