Davis's agent is Jimmy Sexton a UT alum.(For that matter he was a student manager for UT football and suitemate to Reggie White during his days at UT). Sexton while being professional as an agent, has deep ties to the UT program. If Davis wasn't interested Mike Hamilton would already know that and his name would have never been leaked to the Knoxville media.

They will both deny any and all involvement right up until time to sign a contract.

The quandry for UNC will be Roy Williams .

UT is going to offer Davis a contract that pays him roughly 500K-1M more than Roy Williams makes as Head BBall Coach. That will be by design.

UNC will never pay Davis more than Williams.
