  • Server Issues.

We are very aware that there have been system issues the past few days. In troubleshooting the system, it has been determined that the issue is at our provider and is hardware related. As of 12:05 PM ET our provider has moved us to a new server.

Things seem to be running better on this new server. However in trying to diagnose the issue (before finding out it was a hardware issue) we made some system changes which we need to undo. So if you find any issues or errors please let us know in the Operations Center Forum.

Thank you for your patience! Sorry for the issue!

Is the video about 1 GB/hr ? I may have to go with a flash drive until I can hopefully find a bargain on a hard drive on slickdeals. Other than storage capacity, does the flash drive perform equally as well as an external hard drive?

FYI some HD feeds are much larger than that and some SD stuff a little less. NBC feeds on both 103w Ku and 105w C are around 6.5 GB an hour!

What I record on are laptop 120GB IDE drives using an IDE to USB 2.0 adapter purchased on fleabay and it works on the Micro HD and Opebox S9 receivers I have. I've also got a 500GB and a 640GB SATA laptop drives that I record on via a USB 3.0 to SATA adapter I got on fleabay. Those laptop drives only require 5v @.5 amp so the USB ports power them just fine. I've also used USB 2.0 flash drives to record on as well.
