FTA MLB schedule

I just got a pleasant surprise when I browsed my TitanTV setup for the FTA channels on Galaxy 10R. I expected to see the St. Louis Cardinals games, and I had been hoping for occasional Kansas City Royals games, just the way they were carried last year. Imagine my surprise when I saw that, according to TitanTV, KFDF will be carrying the Texas Rangers OTA broadcast games!

IF that's true, based on the OTA schedules for the Cardinals, Royals, and Rangers, plus the MLB on Fox schedule (http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/3476322), here's the schedule of possible MLB games on FTA this season (all times Central):

That's some games. I really have to get that Ku dish now. Just point it to Galaxy 10 and forget it.

Would anyone be interested in trading a PCI card for a receiver? Just something that would work for Galaxy 10?

KFDF and KWBM have been added to the Royals family this year.

It's true, that's one reason I emphasized "possible".

On April 10, KFDF starts with the Cardinals, then picks up the Royals in progress, and I expect it would continue to favor the Cards in future schedule conflicts with the Royals. (I hope KWBM continues to pick up those Royals games.)

A quick glance reveals the following Cards-Rangers conflicts (<= 2 hours apart): April 30, May 29, June 19, July 3, TBD July 31, Sept. 3, Sept. 10. I could lose a Rangers game a month and still feel pretty good about having them in the mix.

TitanTV's long-range sensors now extend to April 11, and it indicates that KWBM and KFDF will both show the Royals' home opener, which will be the Royals Network's only OTA non-Sunday, non-away game for the season. I'll be taking the afternoon off to watch this one.

Also, I noticed that KYPX showed a Cardinals preseason game a few days ago, but TitanTV doesn't show it with any of the regular season games. I wonder what's up with that.

So it looks like KYPX is on board. I agree with what I think you're saying about the April 9 game; I doubt that KYPX will really have that one.

Here's what I see on TitanTV's FTA baseball sked (all Mountain Daylight time):

KYPX not listed now on TitanTV for Friday's Cardinals game.

KYPX Cards games fade in and out of the schedule. What I find more significant and worrying is that Titan TV and Zap2It both say that KFDF won't carry the Rangers' evening games on Friday April 15, Saturday April 16, or Monday April 18. I could see them skipping Friday night in favor of the first-run Enterprise episode, but the other two?

Oh well, in a couple of weeks, we'll get a better idea of what to expect.

Not that I ever doubted you, but you seem to have been proven exactly right. (Again. ) KFDF hasn't been showing Rangers games with Central/Eastern time zone starts, but TitanTV's long-range sensors report that it'll carry the Rangers at Athletics on the late evening of May 2.

Given this West Coast-only parameter, and considering that KFDF will choose the Cards afternoon games whenever there's a conflict, here's the new list of possible KFDF Rangers telecasts in May and beyond:

I noticed the 5/2 game at 9

Apparently people in Arkansas need their UPN, where people in DC don’t : )
(the UPN affiliate in DC is showing the Nationals games)
