Hi,

After manage to get amc4 i started to wonder if theirs any programming from Brasil.
Brasilsat's are c-band so cannot get those and even if i could the beam focused on Brasil so no hope their.

Does anyone know ku-band sat the can be seen from North America that as braslian content?

Thanks,

Tony :)

Rather sad that the brasilian with such great show's do not put them out in wild for all to see.
My uncle in Florida as Globo and records some novelas and few other things pretty good so hoping could find decent stuff for my folks but guess give Rede TV sul try to see if any good and those anyone know what feeds are on Hispasat 1D.
I checked and seem Hispasat 1D at 30.0°W is reachable from my area but elevation of 23 may be little bit of problem.

Thanks,

Tony :)

The dish in on roof so pretty high up their one medium sized tree near by and that what concerns me with elevation 22-23 it look it just make's it above the three but not sure it enough but get only find out trying but seeing it's getting pretty windy out may have wait.

In Canada Brasilian and Portuguese programming is very low priority for sat/cable providers they are alway claiming that their not enough demand.
Their few cables provider that carry SIC Internacinal but channel is just joke compared to real SIC from portugal.
As for Brasilian offering i do not of any on cable or sat that as any.

I always wondered about the link you posted

BJUP is on 97, which is higher in the sky for us than Hispasat is...so it may not be accurate

I'm impressed - anything East of PAS9 and my dish looks at me cross eyed (ok, USALS just does nothing).

Wow - 30W though... from MN! Do you USALS to it or do you have to manually do it?

All you need to do is enter the elevation of the satellite in question : ) Its just a math calculation : )

So as an example............if your elevation is 10 deg. and the tree is 50' tall you would have to be 284' away to clear it.

So i was looking around lyngsat freetv Brazil and on it list Rede TV is located G3C.

http://www.lyngsat.com/g3c.html
But looking at link provided it's not listed can someone pointed Galaxy 3C comfirm that Rede TV is there.
Rede TV is listed as DSS Videoguard so guess answered my own question.

Thanks,

Tony :)

Just checked "Rede TV SUL" on Hispasat 1D .

Getting signal quality of 70+%

Using DiSEqC 1.2

I use a 36" dish and the Invacom SNH-031 LNBF.

There are some nice feeds there occasionally, nothing right now.

:) We don't usually talk about feeds here, we save that for the "WUT" area.

But speaking in general I have seen soccer and car racing feeds there over the years.

I must say I wish there was some quality channels from Brasil. I pay a crap load for dish network's brasil channels. Directv brasil is on the same sat as the D* international channels I hope they move some to the US beams.
