I'm selling my 4DTV setup.
It is a General Instrument DSR922 and it is currently in use with subscriptions to the 'Starz Digital Movie Pack' through 12/22/06 and 'Showtime / TMC / FLIX' through 3/20/07. These are the remainders of annual subs that I paid for via NPS. That makes for about $100 worth of programming still active on the unit.
From what I've read, the serial number of this unit tells me that it was new in Febuary of '01. A co-worker traded me this unit (he bought it second hand) for my DVB box. It didn't come with a remote when I bought it. I bought a brand new IR/UHF remote from NPS in January of '06. The receiver also didn't include the UHF antenna for the unit so I fabricated one.
This DSR922 includes a VCRS module for analog subscriptions. It is currently managing the analog side of my Showtime subscription.
If desired, I'll provide the whole Digicypher ID for the buyer before any money trades hands so that the ID can be verified. I can tell you that i've have no problems subcribing to analog and digital programming. If you want any particular screen shots I'll be glad to get 'em for you.
Also up for grabs would be my LNBs / feedhorn. The c-Band LNB is a Norsat 8115 (15° 150kHz stable). The Ku LNB is a Norsat 4106a (0.6 noise figure, 159kHz atable). The Feedhorn is a CalAmp C/Ku feedhorn with a co-rotor. I bought the LNBs new in September of '05.
You may be wondering why I'm already getting rid of the 4DTV setup since I haven't had it setup very long. The fact is that I'm a DVR and HD junkie. I've come to accept that cable / Off-air is the best fit for me in spite of the cost.
The picture on 4DTV is beautiful. Even the SD channels look amazing. Add an HDD200 and watch some 'real' 1st generation High Definition programming. Sports junkies will enjoy catching anlog feeds of games. I've enjoyed a lot of college basketball with this box.
Prices:
GI DSR922 - $375
Norsat 8115 - $80
Norsat 4106a - $80
CalAmp C/Ku Feedhorn - free if you buy the LNBs
I'll pay shipping for Satelliteguys.us members. Local pickup or possibly even delivery
available for the Metro-Phoenix area.
Buy it all for $500 to your door.
Paypal is prefered but especially is local we can work something out.
