froyo for droid leaked

Well, from reading the comments on the thread at Droid Life, it sounds like Bugless Beast isn't so bugless. I think I'll hold off for a few days, until there is a version 0.2. :) The phone is running smoothly right now, and I head out of towm tomorrow, so no reason to screw things up right now.

Kind of shame though, because it has a nice set of features, including native Flash support; over-clock capabilities without setcpu, and a whole bunch more; incluyding about 100MB free memory to start.

You should be fine. The only reason I said wait so you don't have to update certain apps. Every thing is working for some. No wipe and yes backup should be ok. Might have to update one app or so.

Well, we are leaving tomorrow morning on a long 10 day road trip; I think I'll wait 24 hours, see what is up with it, and maybe upgrade tomorrow night on the road in Chattanooga.

no problems here, in fact I am getting Amazing battery life as it has yet to move off of 80 since I installed it! will run maps and see whats up with that.

maps is gone, but there is a fix already for both flash and maps, fixing now :) other then that, I have yet to see anything wrong with this rom, and I have had 0 FC's.

I think the problem with Flash has to do with Pete putting it in as system software, but people already have it installed as a download.

What about OC'ing; how do you do that?

I wish I could get my Froyo to work with setcpu; I am sure there must be some way to manually set the permissions for it to get root - but its beyond me.

it is auto set at 800....downloading new verison now...at the gym this morning I had two little minor things, one slacker radio wouldnt really work, and number two a number of my songs said that file wasnt supported by music player? I played them before, dont know why they arent working now.

Is there a way to take a snapshot of what I have now so I can go back if anything goes wrong?

If you guys are still on the fence within a few days there will be more refined 2.2 rom's!!:D Maybe sooner if we get coffee!!!!!!!!

Why isn't there a easy way of installing 2.2 like there was for 2.1. With 2.1, I download a file called update.zip, put it on my SD card on my phone, Turned off the phone & turned it on while pressing power & X, until the "!" appeared. Then I pressed Volume up & the camera button at the same time & got to a update screen to do the update. That was EASY!

Why can't we do 2.2 that Easy?
