I'm a 0 to -10 guy. Before we moved to Holland, we lived near Lansing and I had my motorized 90cm on the roof. Well the motor went out, simply refused to work ever again. Sadoun helped me get a warranty replacement, but in the meantime, I moved my 80cm motorized dish onto the mast, and tuned it in. Boy , was I cold ! That's when I learned that our receivers won't work outside in cold weather. I took one to the roof, but it wouldn't do anything at all with the motor. Took the darn thing back in the house and hooked it up, told it to go to AMC3 ( my south choice) and went up on the roof with just a TV and a long rf cable. Got it done !

:)

I used to do the installations when I started my business. I remember doing one in 20 degree weather. The reason I remember it, because it was so cold and the mast was freezing. At that moment I remembered the movie "Dumb & Dumber" when the guy stuck his tongue on the ski lift bar. I was thinking it would really be dumb if I tried it. Of course I didn't :p

I set up my fist sub dish in about 25 below weather. I usually don't make a habit of doing anything FTA related when it gets to around the 0F mark. The sub was different, it was my first sat system and I was sick and tired of 2 channels. Wouldn't even wait the 3-5 days that the salesman said it would take before an installer could do it.
