I'm happy about the fact that Dish is giving us all these movie channel free previews.

But I wonder why we never get Showtime on free preview anymore.

It's been years since I remember a Showtime free preview. We've gotten HBO, Cinemax, Epix, and Starz. Heck, I remember we even got IFC SD on free preview back in January or February before the channel was taken down with AMC.

And the free previews this month are DIY, GSN, OWN, Blaze, Current, HBO, Cinemax, and Pac-12.

HBO and Cinemax start in 2 days so be sure to look out for it. :)

Probably Showtime is not the happiest with Dish for having the Epix channels if I had to guess. I find that Showtime is pretty lackluster honestly. Don't get me wrong; Showtime may play a good movie here or there. "Big" movies I noticed on it lately are The Help, Scream 4, and The King's Speech. I think what is keeping the channel alive is some of its original or exclusive programming. You can also get The Movie Channel west feed and The Movie Channel Xtra west feed in Dish Latino Max ($57.99/month) or America's Top 250 ($69.99/month) if you want a snippet of Showtime's movies. Otherwise, you can always ask if there is a free offer for Showtime. You may get if for 3 months free and even more especially if you have not had any free offers in a whole and especially if you are a long-time customer.

EPIX channels are on free preview now. Dish site says 10/5-10/7 so they started a day early.

Thanks KAB was going to post this, this morning but forgot. :)

It looks like we're going to get a free preview from Epix from January 1 to January 6.

And a free preview from Showtime from January 11 to January 13. I think that's the first time we've had a free Showtime preview in like 5 years.

I noticed these 2 things in the TV Guide:
