Can anyone tell me the precise focal length of a Channel Master 1.2m dish, type 123? I need this precise calcaultion so I cna try to build my own offset scalar ring for c band reception. If you're interested, I post my results.
Thanks!

there are previous post on this matter and i think caddata or someone posted drawings on the FD so i'll try to do a search and link it .... but basically he extended the middle support arm out 6 inches or so and mounted the lnbf.....

ok added threads from popcornNmore and caddata

speaking of Caddata i haven't seen or heard from him in a while :(

home made scalar ring

Thanks. I found an interesting book describing the dimensions of an offset scalar ring--depends on focal length and diameter of dish. If work ever lets up, I'm going to try to build my own. I will share with all if you're at all interested.

interested in specs or dwg

If I dig up the info on the Prodelin 6' offset dish, can you give a drawing of what the scalar should look like?
If so, maybe we can come up with a way to make some.
Yes, some.
I think a number of us will be getting them (some have 'em already).

Program to calculate focal length of dish

Maybe this is what your looking for. Don't think it works so good for vista but works for XP fine enter diameter and depth and gives you focal point.
