Don't have to threaten to cancel, just ask for it. If the rep you're speaking to doesn't have the ability to switch you to it, they'll transfer you to people who can.its available now if you threaten to cancel

I have it. Switched to it 1-2 weeks ago.Until 8/4, we will not even know if this is an April Fools joke or what?
Nope they settled that a few weeks ago.NBCUniversal is battling it out with Dish, aren't they? Hopefully after that, NBCSN can be added to the sports pack add-on.
I just sent an email to Dirt, asked to switch, was moved to Flex pack within a few minutes, nothing to it. Did it over a week ago, have not even noticed a difference since my favorites list was already set for most of the channels. Lost one or two channels (& music) but gained several so works for me!Same here. Very easy switch

To help you cost compare. My confusion came from this chart. It seemed to be telling me that with Americas Top 250 Flex Pack the only channels I could possibly add were the Outdoor and the Heartland packs. I see my error now but why was the chart even included?
Looks like it. This makes sense because folks might be getting locals OTA so, again, if you don't need/want it, then don't have to pay for it.Am i seeing this right that you have to pay $10 for local channels with Flex pack

Nobody has outraged about "not in HD" so I'm assuming that the channels in the Flex Package are in HD (*where available)...
Yes.
But if you have good OTA around you, save some money

I doubt it. I got a ViP211k in 2012, and it has the old purple G3 Smart Card. The G4 card is white. And how would I be able to identify a G4 card, were they supplied with the 211k models in 2010?
I get OTA guide data on deactivated HD receivers, so I assume Flex Pack without locals would be the same way.BUT, do you get guide data for your locals if your receive them OTA only by not subbing to the $10 locals pack? If not it would be a big PITA.
