yes I had flex with no locals... you do loose the program guide for locals if your using the ota dongle. I have a vip211z.. I am upgrading to a Wally though
Does anyone know if the MTV Digital Suite and BBC World are going to be added to any of the AT packages? Seems like it would make sense for them to be in AT250 at least, maybe AT200 as well.
That's better. Thanks.yes I had flex with no locals... you do loose the program guide for locals if your using the ota dongle. I have a vip211z.. I am upgrading to a Wally though
As I have posted in other threads, my "real" locals do not come in reliably OTA, even with a good OTA antenna on my roof. Some stations don't come in at all (CBS and Fox) while others only come in occasionally, usually at night. As far as one account being cheaper, it occurred to me that if somebody likes the channels in the base Flex Pack, but still wants to get all of the Welcome Pack channels, it is actually cheaper to have two accounts than it would be to add all of the various add-ons required to get the remaining Welcome Pack channels with Flex Pack. Then, you just have to switch back and forth between the two receivers to watch different channels. This is assuming just one receiver per account, of course, with non-DVRs. Otherwise, the additional receiver fees and DVR fee would make Flex Pack with the add-ons the cheaper option.None of my business, just a thought, but, wouldn't it be much cheaper just to put up a good OTA antenna to get your real locals and have one Dish account? I have Atlanta locals on Dish, and get my "real" locals and sub channels from Birmingham over the air.

That's what Dirt told me as well, my bill online also shows it as $34.99.I subbed to the flex pack w/ locals a couple weeks ago when it was first being discussed in a different thread. I received my first email statement today and it shows the base Flex pack at $34.99, No credits or special pricing noted.
I suppose the misinformation that seems to surround this package is because it isn't actually announced yet. But looking at My Programming it shows Flex Pack @$34.99. No note at all about discounting or special rate or anything else. I'll be watching this as it comes out because if it was $39.99 it doesn't save much at all from the non-plus T120.

No, Flex + Locals + ESPN (national action pack) would be top 120, not plus. Add regional action pack (RSN, B10, PAC12, etc) then you're at 120+, and the money saved is minimal.Obvioulsy no one wants the cost to be $39.99 and from all accounts it isn't. But wouldn't you lose some of the main (non sports) Cable channels not found in the Top 120 that Flex does have? At $49.99 including locals that's still $15 less than the top 120. In fact, add the package with ESPN and you are still ahead of the game because that's the Top 120+, so still would save $10 and have more main Cable channels.
Matt is online right now . . . .Been trying to switch to Flex pack for 5hrs cannot get dirt to respond?
