Tate,
Screens that are designed for daytime viewing are about a grand! If you get a high lumens projector to try to combat ambient light during the day it'll burn your retina's at night.

You may be better served by a 65" RPTV. I believe Hitachi still makes a 65" CRT RPTV that'll give a great smooth picture. The 57" version (57F710A) is $1614.99 this week at Circuit City. A froogle of the 65" (65f710a) shows $1789.95.

While DLP and LCD FP are easy and economical for a really big screen, nothing can beat a good CRT yet, and do you want to buy an extra $300 lamp if yours blows while you wait a week for service on a microdisplay TV?

If Goempel sees this thread he'll be all over the CRT RPTV ans while crass in his replies, he's right.

Hitachi!! What crap EVERY one knows that the best TVs being made are the Mitsubishi CRT RP TVs!!! This is no joke. They are the kings of ALL TVs on the market ATM!!!

The DU-62SY20D? That would be about right. Its good to see LG's "larger" set finally start to approach respectable prices. 56" - 62" should get down to the $2200 range, anything smaller should drop "a whole lot". At that $2200 price point I would start to recommend them along with FPTV.

The 62SX4D .MRP is $3100
